West Texas Population

As you will notice from the Texas popluation map below; West Texas has a much lower population density compared to the rest of Texas. This makes the area a perfect place to own a Texas ranch or a piece of lake propery if you like getting away from it all. Obviously hunting is a prime activity in West Texas due to the large area and low population.

When compared to the physical map of Texas to the right, there is a distinct correlation between the landscape of Texas and its population sprawl. East Texas has more rainfall and a more crowded population. West Texas has a lower population, less rain, and its agriculture primarily depends on irrigation.
